Put simply, the Artecta Gobo Spot 50 is, in my opinion, a really good piece of kit.
I tested the Gobo Spot 50 alongside the other projectors, comparing them with one another and with other models as well. What immediately struck me as a positive feature was the image quality. The projection is exceptionally sharp for a projector in this price range. I haven’t seen comparable sharpness in other devices in this price range so far.
With its 50 W LED output, I believe the Gobo Spot 50 is more than adequate for most typical indoor applications. Of course, there are brighter projectors, but for classic applications such as logos, lettering or decorative motifs in shops, restaurants, hotels, at trade fairs or at events, it offers sufficient performance.
I’m also very impressed with the unit when it comes to changing gobos. The gobo can be inserted or replaced quickly and easily. This is a real advantage over projectors, where changing gobos is considerably more fiddly, especially if you frequently work with different designs.
The gobo rotation can be set to rotate both clockwise and anti-clockwise. This allows the projection to be given a slight movement if required, without making the unit unnecessarily complicated.
Another feature I like about the Gobo Spot 50 is the housing design. The unit has a high-quality, professional look and makes a good impression, not just at events. Thanks to its attractive design, I can also easily picture the projector being used in shops and exhibition spaces. When a customer wants to look at different projectors, the Gobo Spot 50 doesn’t come across as merely a technical device, but also looks the part.
My conclusion
Of the three projectors I tested, the Artecta Gobo Spot 50 is my clear favourite when the priority is the sharpest possible projection.
The combination of excellent optics, sufficient power, easy gobo changes, straightforward operation and a well-designed casing makes it, in my view, an exceptionally successful all-round package.
My recommendation: Anyone looking for a reliable indoor gobo projector who values a very sharp projection should definitely take a look at the Artecta Gobo Spot 50. For me, it’s currently one of the most interesting options in its price range.
A high-performance 50 W cool white LED ensures a bright, high-contrast projection. The permanently integrated 20°-lens enables precise focusing of the light and is particularly suitable for targeted projection onto walls, floors, ceilings or other surfaces.
The unit uses interchangeable, rotatable glass gobos with a diameter of 26.4 mm and an image diameter of approx. 21 mm. The speed and direction of rotation of the gobo can be conveniently adjusted using a control on the rear panel – without the need for DMX control.
This makes the Gobo Spot 50 particularly suitable for applications where straightforward and reliable projection is required. Simply insert the gobo, align the projector, adjust the focus and project the desired motif.
For larger projection surfaces, an optional 30°lens is available, which allows the projection angle to be widened.
Thanks to its compact design and ease of use, the Gobo Spot 50 is ideal for shop windows, retail spaces, entrance areas, restaurants, hotels, bars, exhibitions and trade fair stands.
